About

The 2nd prize winner of the Third International Jascha Heifetz Competition and a recipient of several awards from Presidents of Lithuania for her musical contributions to her country, Justina has performed at prestigious concert venues, such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Wiener Musikverein, among others, appeared as a soloist with many orchestras and has recorded for major classical music label Naxos Records.

Guided by her fondness for teaching, Justina has taught at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and for more than a decade now has been giving  private violin lessons and masterclasses: “Being able to pass on what I’ve learned from so many remarkable musicians and seeing others grow from it gives me great joy and fulfillment.”

Justina performs on a 1770 Giovanni Antonio Marchi violin and mainly uses a Nicolas Maline bow, both kindly loaned to her by “Dalia and Remigijus Lapinskas Family Foundation”.

Teaching

Having studied with many remarkable musicians—among them Boris Kuschnir, Pavel Berman, and Silvia Marcovici, whose guidance profoundly shaped my artistic and professional growth—and attended prestigious institutions such as the Vienna Music University and The Juilliard School in New York, I have gained invaluable knowledge and experience that I am eager to share with my students.

In my teaching, I draw on my experience as an active performer and my academic training, combining these perspectives to guide students not only toward technical mastery but also toward richer musical insight and meaningful professional growth.

With extensive teaching experience, I am dedicated to helping violinists strengthen their technical foundation, cultivate expressive artistry, and reach their personal musical goals. I offer private lessons both in person and online, carefully tailored to students of all levels—from beginners taking their first steps to advanced performers seeking refinement and professional development.

“Justina is not only a wonderful performer but also an inspiring and patient teacher. Her ability to communicate with young kids is exceptional — she makes lessons fun, engaging, and full of encouragement. Whether she’s demonstrating a beautiful piece or breaking down techniques in a way that’s easy to understand, her passion for music shines through. Thanks to her guidance, my child has grown in both skill and confidence. She creates a positive and motivating learning environment, making every lesson something to look forward to. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented, kind, and inspiring violin teacher!”
